Hi all, I've been on mfp for approx 1 month now, and lost 5ish pounds. I've been reading up on nutrition lately, and noticed there were a LOT of different approaches. I have tweeked my default carp/fat/protein levels to have something like: 1 g of protein per pound of body weight, 25-30% fat, and the rest carbs.
I weight: 206lbs
height : 6 foot 1
age: 37
I set my target daily cals to 1500, but I workout quite a bit doing pretty intense kettlebell workouts, so I add 250ish cals on days I do a workout, and I walk to and from work every weekday (1 hour total) which I dont add calories for.
I think I am gaining quite a bit of muscles as my weight is not going down much even with an almost 1000cals daily deficit.
Does all this makes sense? I dont really need to lose weight fast, I prefer a more long term approach.
Thanks in advance
Dominic
