Have you ever been just too tired?

I just started insanity this week and I am on week 2 of c25k 3x a week. Last night I did c25k w2d2 and was going to do day 6 of insanity but my calves were just too sore to push through. Today I am suppose to rest from insanity, but thought I would do day 6 since I didn't last night. The problem is I am sooooo tired. I think I could literally fall asleep if I sat down for a few minutes. Have you ever been just too tired to exercise and did you push through the tiredness or just take a rest day and reset tomorrow?

I have rested. If my body is that tired, it needs the rest.0

I wonder why you are too tired to exercise.0 -
I'm a "listen to your body" sort of guy. If I'm just a little sleepy, usually working out will snap me out of it in the first five minutes or so. If it doesn't I'll take the hint and maybe take a nap for an hour and then try a workout. If I'm really wiped out (say, from a big ride in the previous couple of days), I'll take the day off.
Oh, and sometimes fatigue means you're not eating enough, although your diary doesn't look like you're starving yourself...something to keep in mind if this keeps happening.0 -
I'm someone who's pushed through the tired feeling and you know what it got me? A stress fracture, back problems, and a menagerie of overuse injuries.
Rest. It's a lot better to take a day off now than need a few months to recover.0 -
I agree don't over train. I see so many people go all out when they first start exercising then either they get injured or they burn out. Either way; exercise in moderation. All these programs where you nearly kill yourself are pointless!0

Listen to you body. It will tell you what you need. I have pushed training runs and workouts because I knew my body nor my head was not in it. Take the night off and feel rested and ready tomorrow.0

This is basically what I do.
Combining running with Insanity is not a great idea just because those are both very high-impact activities. Unless you are already in great shape and really feeling up to it--don't.
Take a walk, go for a swim, spend some time on the stationary bike...there are lots of other options that might work better for a day or two.0
