6 months, progress so far:

The left photo was taken in August 2014; I weighed ~160 lb in that photo.
The right photo was taken just a few days ago and I now weigh 144.
Honestly the only things I've done is portion my meals a little better and tried to eat healthfully. I did run occasionally, but that was about it for exercise. I didn't calorie count and I have no intentions of doing so; I know this doesn't work for some people but I used to obsess over the numbers which brought on an ED. I'm recovered now but I'm going about this very carefully.
It took me 6 months to get to this point, a true testament that this all takes time. Now that I've dropped these initial pounds, my goals are focused on eating MORE VEGGIES (I don't get nearly enough) and picking up a consistent weight lifting/running routine. I'm not really sure what my goal weight is anymore, but I'm aimed tentatively at 130lb.
Hurray for progress!

You look great. I'm also curvy, have increased by weight lifting and have the same goal weight. Heck, I'll never be in my 20s again but no reason why I can't weight 130. Good luck in the next stage of your journey.0

You're looking good, OP! Hey, I'm your height and 130, so I guess I'm at your goal weight. (I'm adding a pic for reference. Some might think I'm on the skinny side, and you might not like that look.)
I highly recommend weight training to help with body composition. You look great right now, so you might not even need to lose anymore weight to get the look you want if you add strength training to the mix...
