This is only day 2 for using MFP. I was using another app to tract food & exercise but was getting frustrated that I couldn't add my own homemade recipes. A forum buddy pointed me over here to use the Recipe builder module. Actually built my first 2 recipes already! Cottage cheese ice cream & Spinach & ham Baked eggs! It took some thinking how to enter ingredients to show 1 serving but now I'm on a roll! Love all the exercises built into this app! Just wish it logged weight strengthening and not just cardio workouts. I go to the gym 3x's a week and would like to have it logged as expended calories, but I'm finding a way around that too. Looking forward to sharing ups & downs with everyone!

Hi there! I have been using the mfp app for almost a month and I LOVE it! I add all my recipes since I don't eat anything prepackaged. I'm still figuring out different features and have the same frustration you do with the strength training. I do more kettle bell workouts than anything so I just add it under the cardio. Good luck on your journey.

Maybe you can help me on adding recipes. I put one in yesterday but need to edit it. Can't figure out how to remove an ingredient or put another in. I've poked just about every icon and can't find edit mode. Like you, I'm getting more into my own recipe/meal combinations. I've been trying to steer away from processed foods which means a bit more time in the kitchen but I love that!

Hi! I love the adding recipes function. MFP has helped me lose 86 pounds. Feel free to add me as a friend if you want. :)

Would love to add you as a friend but not sure how to do that.
