Personal Calorie Deficit - How Is It Determined

I know when we set up our profiles, we enter our height, weight, desired weight, etc. So for example, if someone wanted/needed to lose say, 150 pounds and MFP says they should eat no more than 1900 cals and they've lost 97 of the 150 pounds, does MFP automatically update their cals or would 1900 be their goal for forever? Or would MFP update or change their goals based on what their current weight is and what they need to reach their goal weight?

I think so, my calorie target has changed a couple times as I lost weight.0

As you lose weight, log it in MFP. As you lose weight (every 5-10 lbs or so), MFP will ask you to recalculate and give you new goals.
Thus, as you approach your goal weight, your max calories for the day will decrease slowly to keep your deficit going.0 -
Aha! Ok, I was wondering how that would work. Thanks0
