one scale told me I was 285 another told me I was 10lbs heavier. What could be causing this. Not sure how much I really weigh.

    The most important thing about weighing is consistency. Same time, place and bat channel!

    Yep. Time of day is a big one and also clothing/shoes. I always weigh myself right when I get up after my potty break and total nekkid (right be fore I jump in the shower). If I weigh any other time or with clothes on or after the shower (with wet hair) I weigh more. So I use the nekkid weight as my ground zero.

    Just pick a scale and always use it and believe it.

    One could be calibrated differently.

    The number doesn't matter. What matters is progress. Pick one scale and stick with it.

    I would use the lower scale :)

    I'd use the heavy one the first week, then switch to the light one.....;)
