Your Daily Calorie Requirements

Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) 2840
Daily calories to maintain weight (TDEE) 3408
Daily calories 2726

Did mfp and it recommended eating 1300 cals.. i am SO confused. Seems i will never lose weight with all the different calculations. All i want is a number. then i can finally start losing hopefully.
Age 42, height 5ft4, weight 181lbs. i am immobile most of the time due to health issues.

    Yeah, seems wrong to me.

    Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) 1720
Daily calories to maintain weight (TDEE) 2065
Daily calories based on goal in step 6 1652

I set your activity level to sedentary. Keep in mind that MFP creats a deficit differently. Scooby says "lets take 20% off" and mfp asks how many pounds per week you want to lose and subtracts 500 for every pound. So ex, 2065 to lose two pounds per week you would need to consume 1065 calories. MFP will not, however, suggest anyone consume less than 1,200 calories.

Did you set your activity level on either incorrectly?
