is it okay to substitute yolplait for vanilla low fat yogert for baking?

I'm trying to make breakfast but my family obviously doesn't eat like I do so some of the things that are in the ingredients we don't have. Is it okay to substitute a yolplait to low fat vanilla yogurt?

    Vanilla Yoplait being...lowfat or fat free vanilla yogurt?

    Just make sure you don't use vanilla yogurt when the recipe calls for *plain* yogurt.

    As long as it isn't a whipped one, I don't see why it would be an issue. I think the consistency of the whipped ones they have may throw off the recipe.

    What if its not vanilla flavor but something like a strawberry short cake or a pumpkin pie flavor. But it's not whipped. I don't like the whipped.

    Great thing about cooking is experimenting. Use it, see if you like it, and if you don't, try again with a different flavor.

    So it doesn't have to be vanilla then. I bake but I've never used yogurt.
