Should I Eat More Or Less Than My BMR

Hey, So my bmr is 2187 and its too much because people say that I should eat more than my BMR so I was wondering if its okay to eat 1800-2000 calories a day instead of it??
And burn 500 Calories.
And By the way my TDEE Is 3000 something.

Eat more than your BMR but less than your TDEE. Eating 2500 would give you a 1lb a week loss.

Eat more than your BMR. That is the minimum required for your body to function. For example, if you were bed-ridden you will need to eat that amount to maintain basic metabolic function. This is the basic number you need to keep vital organs functioning.

Unless you are a very very small very very sedentary (in a coma) person, you should at least eat BMR calories. If your TDEE is 3000 I am guessing you are not sedentary and probably not a very very small person in a coma. It's not like eating 2147 is going to make you lose so much faster than eating 2000 calories a day anyway. If eating that little below your bmr even worked it would be 1.3 lbs a month slower it's inconsequential weight compared to the damage you can do by trying to eat less. No, I don't think you will screw up your metabolism or make yourself go into starvation mode or even develop an eating disorder. Nothing catastrophic like that. But, you could possibly put your body into rebellion mode and that means eating more things that will make it difficult to keep to your calorie goal, i.e. eventually you will find yourself binging and you will be wondering why. So, eat that 147 more calories a day and make it easier on yourself. Why make things harder than they have to be?
