I personally would love to have my own bar. But seriously if he does not have dedicated olympic lifting shoes, get those. They will make more difference than anything else! Game changer!

I also like wrist wraps, a good belt, and more Nanos are always good. Nanos aren't lifting shoes, so when I say lifting shoes I mean Adidas, Nike Romaleos or Reebok Lifters.

No one does the 3 Bs anymore?

    Sheesh.

I can only think of one B. But that's probably the only one that matters.

Probably, and for that, I salute you.

The 3 Bs jokes are flying a mile over my head.

Can he run in olympic lifting shoes? Seems like most of the WODs I hear about have running.

Also, what is a "quick-clamp collar?" I'm just the clueless wife shopping for a gift.

No, you do not want to run in oly shoes. Seriously. You'll blow a spleen.

If he’s serious, then buy him mobility stuff, like a 5 ft pvc pipe, a lacrosse ball, and a foam roller. Nothing says love like mobility.

My vote is for a gator from 2pood.com. My favorite CrossFit purchase ever!

Bands/roller/lacross ball/franklin ball/voodoo floss teamed up with Becoming a Supple Leopard.

Would he like a heart rate monitor?

    Massage is always a winner

    Or flexibility.

I've heard him mention the pvc pipe for some workout related something.

That would be easy and cheap and would promote some mobility and flexibility.

The way a workout works is you usually do a warm up, then work on a specific movement then get ready and do the WOD. So he could use the oly shoes during that if they are working on lifts and change for the WOD.
