Hi,
I have been doing my weight loss journey for about a month now - have about 60 pounds still to loose. I have been using Palmers firming creams daily- haven't seen much difference but am taking pictures of my body every 2 weeks so hopefully in time will able to see some positive changes.
Do you use firming creams while trying to loose weight - did/do they help you with loose skin? or are they all just a fib?
Do you use any other techniques to try prevent loose skin?

Save your money. Most of the loose skin is genetics and at 18 you definitely have age on your side.0

I use BioOil twice a day (hopefully it will help with lose skin as I lose), however I use it mainly because I have very dry skin (and a lot of scars). I have noticed that the large scar on my shoulder (from surgery) has improved a lot, no it will never go away but it has faded. I do take daily multi-vitamin, vitamin E and fish oil as well. This was recommended to me by a friend (she's 37 just like me) who lost 200 pounds (that she carried for years) who has very little saggy excess skin.0

It is unlikely to help. But if it makes you feel any better, I'm 16 years older and have lost 39/70 pounds and don't have any loose skin issues.0

Fortunately Palmer's is fairly cheap. And nothing wrong with moisturizing, but don't expect any lasting miracles from some cream.0

Nah, I don't really do snake oils.
I had a consultation with a cosmetic surgeon yesterday. That's going to be the only strategy that will work for me with this loose skin malarky.0 -
I do (homemade) salt scrubs once or twice a week, I moisturize and I lift weights. 90 pound weight loss and no loose skin, though if I ever lose my belly, things will be loose there. I think that weight lifting is the most effective thing you can do.
Since Palmer's is cheap, why not?

Sugar scrub (I made it with coconut oil, sugar, and lime zest - because limes are awesome) and just plain coconut oil. I use the coconut oil in my hair over night too. I had to cut it because it was so damaged, but it's growing back nice now.
I have a 5 inch surgical scar on my elbow, and rubbing oil into it seems to make it look a lot better. It can't hurt to keep your skin moisturized.0
