Fitbit sync

If I have my Fitbit linked to my MFP shouldn't the exercise and/or walking that I do show up not only on my Fitbit dashboard but also under exercise on my MFP site? I have only had them synced a few days and the second and third day seems to be fine but today MFP shows absolutely no exercise? I know that Fitbit syncs when I am near my computer but is that the only time because that makes no sense ... what if I am at work for 8 hours and I want to know where I stand on calories using food and walking in order to go have lunch with a friend. If I have to sync at my computer ... does that make sense?

OK I think I figured it out :) Enable negative adjustments - that's the key.

I can only seem to get the steps to log -just bought the Fitbit Surge and it's not logging exercise or weights, just steps. I'm losing my mind. lol.

I find that MFP only credits me if I burn a certain number of calories (don't know the number). For example I was gardening for about an hour and FB counted about 1500 steps, but MFP didn't credit me with extra calories. But running on the treadmill or on the road, or even a long walk show up as calories on MFP.
