Raw vs Cooked weight?

So I always weigh my meats before they're cooked but I'm roasting a chicken for supper tomorrow and was wondering how to go about weighing the portions. If the meat is weighed after cooking will it change anything? Like is 4oz of raw chicken the same in nutritional values as 4oz cooked? Would anything change?

nutrients won't substantially change...but in the cooking process you're going to lose water, etc so if you way out 4 oz cooked chicken but logging it as raw, it will be off in that in reality it was more to begin with.
There are options in the database for cooked weights...use those. Cooking doesn't substantially change nutrient content.0 -
Look up the nutritrional info for roasted chicken and weigh your portions. I weigh both raw and cooked depending on preference. Hasn't made me not see results.0

Sounds good, will log under the cooked weights. Thanks for the info0
