How Important is Sodium and Sugar vs. Fat and Calories

Okay, today is my third day of really doing My Fitness Pal, and I have been doing very well about staying under by daily calories, fat grams and carbs. However, I have been going over on my sodium and sugar. I am going to try to make some tweaks, but I'll admit, sticking to the calories, fat and carbs has been hard enough! How much of a difference does going over on your sodium and sugar make in your weight loss?

I personally don't track my sugar. Eat fruit and it throws that off.
I do track sodium because I seem to be sensitive and if I have too much, I bloat and gain water weight.. then I have the next day full of drinking water to get rid of that feeling.

What matters most is calories. The rest can vary person to person and sugar would definitely be an issue if you are diabetic or have metabolic disease.

Otherwise, in general, I would say reducing sodium and sugar are more important than reducing fat. But it all just really depends on your lifestyle and the overall diet. So many variables to consider.
