Too tired to keep going

I keep trying to stay on track. So many things get in the way. Moving, disabled husband, tired of being so alone. My kids try to help, but they have little ones of their own, lives of their own, mad I am just tired. I want so badly to get into making clothes for those 18" dolls I can taste it. Half my stuff is packed away. Half my life is packed away, the other half is only there for "show" listing the house on Saturday, lots of stuff to do yet. Where can I find the time to count calories and worry about weight loss.

Counting calories on MFP take only a few minutes a day and eat what you eat already eat but just less of it. This site makes it easy, you can do this!!
  • I agree with queenliz! You can do this. Just eat what you already eat but think of it as fueling your body and not just a meal. It will take moments just to log it all in. You can do this!!

The fact that you are here and posting says you want to do this. As queenly and sabreuji said, it just takes a few minutes a day. Little changes are the way to start, especially when you are under stress with all the changes you are talking about. It doesn't happen overnight but just start doing it and you will see improvements over time. If you miss logging a meal or even a day, don't worry about it, just come back the next day. Lots of people here are happy to provide encouragement regularly, myself included. Just send a friend request.

A suggestion - fill out your profile, especially the goals (getting into those clothes) to help firm up your agreement with yourself to change your eating patterns. It's a habit change and it doesn't take a lot but it does mean committing yourself to the change.

Good luck!!! You can do this!

P.S. It sounds like you are feeling a bit overwhelmed - you have a lot going on - but you will feel better and have more energy and positive feelings about yourself and your ability to deal with it all once you start losing! (voice of experience - it really does improve things!)

NO excuses! Don't allow excuses in your weight loss! You've got it to do and will feel a thousand times better when you get the weight off - so JUST DO IT!
We're all pulling for you but you have to do the work yourself.

Honestly not trying to be witchy but it sounds like you're making excuses.

It's not by any means ideal but if time is the issue then go to the grocery store and buy a box of quaker instant oatmeal packets for breakfasts, 14 Lean Cuisine or SmartOnes or whatever generic 'healthy' frozen dinners they have (yes, I know..oxymoron) for lunches and dinners as well as 14 pieces of fruit for snacks 2x a day.

The macros are already in the database for the frozen dinners. That will make for super easy logging. So will the fruit and hot cereal.

In the time it took you to write the original post you can log the entire week of food. Don't have to worry about finding time to cook or think about what to cook.

Once things ease up you can start cooking healthier meals and spend more time on you, but this will at least help you keep in your macro goals.

You sound depressed. And overwhelmed. Working on your health is one thing in your life that you can control. In a world of things out of our control, this one thing you have sole control over. And it helps you feel less depressed, and less overwhelmed. Believe me.

If there's a will, there's a way. Try pre planning your day, that way your day will go by more smoothly. Things don't always go as plan in life but if you try to plan ahead, you will be more successful.
