Personally I feel (obviously my opinions is moot as a man but here it is) that feminism can be properly understood as a fight for a egalitarian society, not a society where men or women can't do things for each other but seen and treated equally, with the dignity and respect that all humans deserve. Historically women have been place on tracks that have been seen as and been used as positions of servitude, their work wasn't recognized, etc. Key point to that are the many examples of women using male names to publish their work, etc.
