So, I've been weighing myself every Wednesday. The last time I had any kind of measurable loss was 5/19. And actually, that day, I had drank a ton of water through the day to get me through my first 5-mile run that night, so didn't weigh in until Thursday, and was UP 0.2. Then, last week, with another 5-mile run scheduled Wednesday afternoon, weight in that morning - down 0.3.

What the hell.

I know people go through plateaus all the time, and sometimes they can last a lot longer than 2 weeks.

But, I lack attention span ( ), and was getting really frustrated. As a matter of fact, if you look back through some of my food diaries in the last couple of weeks, you can tell where I had "oh, well, f-it" days.

However, I kept at it, thanks to all of you - kept reading posts of people going through similar things - took advice from my friends on my newsfeed - and just overall, kept at it.

This morning? DOWN 4.2 POUNDS!

I know that seems like a lot in a week, but you break that out over the last 3 weeks, and that's about 1.5 per week.

I will take it!!! Thanks to ALL of you! :drinker:

Way to go! Plateaus are definitely a bummer. Mine lasted 5 months before breaking! It nearly broke me! I'm so glad to be beyond it now but I'm very aware that it could come back at any time. Keep up the good work.

YAY!!!!! I've been in a plateau too - I know what you're saying about the attention span thing! I'm trying a calorie cycle schedule this week to see if it helps. Anyway, that's great news! Congrats

YAY YOU!!!! Bravo and Congrats! This is exactly why I only weigh myself once a month. The scale plays a small part in the fit and healthy lifestyle. Muscle weighs more than fat, and as you burn fat and tone muscle, the scale can show a weight gain, while in essence you are getting smaller, and clothes are getting bigger! You go girl! :drinker:

That's great!!! I'm hoping for a big loss too! I've been maintaining for 3 weeks now (going on 4 if I don't see a loss on Friday) and before that was plateaued for a month. I've changed a LOT about my exercise routine, started eating more, and am hoping for a loss, EVEN JUST ONE POUND WILL SUFFICE!!!! because I'm thinking the last 3 weeks has been due to my exercise routine and I can tell I've gained muscle. *crossing fingers*

Great job! I haven't seen a change in weight since I started here 6 weeks ago, but I haven't weighed myself at all in two weeks. I've decided to keep focusing on my measurements, eating well, and increasing the intensity of my workouts. I'm not going to weigh myself for another week or so! (I had been doing it every day, so I decided to go off it cold turkey for awhile.) I know that if I keep my focus on overall health fitness and not just weight loss, the changes I want will happen--even if not on my timeline!

Once again, congratulations! Use this success as motivation to keep you going if (heaven forbid) you hit another plateau!
