Hello, I'm new to this whole calorie counting way of life and am having a hard time figuring out how to make healthy foods from recipes and inputting the correct amount per item so it can add up the calories. Please help!!!

There's a recipe builder on here. You enter the ingredients, select the number of servings and you're good to go

Use the Recipe Builder on MFP.

If you are cooking for youself, weigh the ingredients using a food scale and add them separetely.
If you are cooking for other people too go to your food diary and click the recipe option to add yours.
  • Thanks everyone!

For things I cook regularly I prefer to use the meals function and just divide up (eg if I make my waffle recipe, one day will have 0.5 of all the ingredients). It means when I remake recipes down the line, it's much easier to make small amendments to the composition of the meal if I change the ingredients slightly. Happy for you to take a look at my diary if that helps. I use the recipe function, but less frequently.
