Can it prevent weight loss?

It wont prevent the physical loss of body mass but it can make you retain some water. However your body weight will naturally fluctuate throughout the day/week any way due to water weight (sometimes up to 3 or 4 pounds a day). Unless you're consuming silly levels of it or have a medical issue I wouldn't over worry about it. We actually need it to function properly anyway0

I don't know that it'll prevent weight loss. It makes you retain water. I have to keep my sodium intake in check because of my blood pressure. I feel ALOT better when I keep it under the recommended daily amount.0
