Hello Fit Mamas!
I recently weaned my 9 month old, and I am gaining weight fast!
I decreased my caloric intake, and have ensured to eat more fruits and veggies, and continue to work out almost daily!!
Help! Is it hormonal? Is this normal? I hear of people losing weight when they quit breastfeeding? Why am I gaining?

Are you weighing and measuring and most important, are you in a deficit?0

When I stopped pumping last summer, I "gained 4 pounds" really fast. I think it was hormones, water and my body adjusting to not being a dairy cow anymore. It took about 3 weeks (after my milk my dried up) for it to drop right back off. (However I do know that I was in a deficit at the time, so MAKE sure your logging is accurate and that you are actually in a deficit). Any body changes (hormones etc) should be done by 12 weeks after your milk has totally dried up (but for some women this can last longer), also the time it takes to dry up varies While It didn't take long to not have overly full breast, it did take me almost 5 weeks to "dry up" completely.0
