I've been stuck in a plateau and want to be making sure I'm hitting the right calorie goal. Which do you find works better?

It's the same thing, if they're both done right. Just a matter of convenience and preference.

Ditto that. Bottom line is they're just estimates. If you're stuck, adjust the calories down or up until you get results.

I have. I'm super stuck. I've been eating 1200 calories a day plus exercising, then I realized that's really stupid and not going to help. So I'm trying to figure out what to go up to.

    This.
I always ended up in the same place when averaged out.
I do prefer the MFP method of adding back because I'm not always consistent enough with exercise.
I also like to eat a but more the day before and of my longer runs so it works for me.

Some people like the consistency of the same amount everyday.

Do you take a certain percentage off when you count back calories burned? I know heart rate monitors aren't 100% accurate.
