CRUNCH Challenge - April 7th CHECK IN

Hi Guys and Gals!

Here's the challenge...
We're challenging each other to crunches, push ups, and lunges everyday! We are posting our waist measurements to follow our progress on the crunches!

Crunches - 100 per day (or more or less to start - try and build up 100+ per week)
Push Ups - 50 per day (or more or less to start - try and build up 10+ per week)
Lunges - 50 per day (or more or less to start - try and build up 10+ per week)

Some have been doing it for 4 weeks, but it's never to late to join in!

    Finally a change!

    Wk #1 - 29.5" :blushing:
    Wk #2 - 29.0" :flowerforyou:

    Wk #4 - 29.0" :grumble:

    April 7th
    Wk #5 - 28.3"
    Yahoo! Finally a change! (down 9lbs total for 5 weeks)

    I've not always done my crunches, i've been too busy... going out drink lol

    I'll do 400 each day this week, except friday, (yes i'm out drinking again)

    AJCM, I dont measure until tomorrow but im sure ive lost! I havent been doing my crunches all the time, but i was at the gym this morning, and i could see my abs in the mirror, they looked awesome!! So i will check in tomorrow¬!!!

  • Hi, I am just joining the challange today!

    Starting measurement 31.5 :sad:

    I did 100 crunches, 40 push ups and 50 lunges.
    I hope this works!!!

    No change yet but not a great "week" to measure my mid section! :laugh:

    I'm still working on more full pushups... Keep it up!:drinker:
  • So i went to measure in this morning, and first of all the tape measure snapped again! I have selotaped it 4 times now, then when i stuck it bk together, it was slanted, and isnt reading right. I need a new one. So i havent measurd in at all :cry:

    But sign of hope, here it comes, i was at the gym yestreday and saw a lady getting her heart rate and body fat measured by one of those hand held machines. So i wanted a go. The last time my body fat was measured, was the 1st of Feb, and that was 22%. I am now down to 14.8% :bigsmile: :bigsmile: :bigsmile: :bigsmile: :bigsmile: :bigsmile:
    so thats what, 2 months, and usually that would seem such a long time, but because i havent checked it inbetween, the loss ive seen is huge!! (Well to me anyway :blushing: )

    Just to say i hate the sidcom Friends, but i remeber one episode when Joe puts all of chandlers cloths on, does he do lunges then?

    Albert, you are precisely correct - Joey does lunges with all of Chandler's clothes on! Basically, from standing position one leg lunges forward (don't let front knee go beyond the ankle) and then back to position, alternating legs.

    Numbers...
    I'm at 400 crunches, 30 "easy" style push ups (I'm working on it!), and 60 lunges.

    AJCM is that 60 lunges on each leg?

    Lunges - I do 3 sets of 10 per leg = 60!

    Oh Al - they are KILLER!!!!!! Get the back knee to be almost touching the ground, and do them in quick succession, and you should feel it in the quadraceps, hamstrings, and glutes. You might need to make them tougher by holding weights (maybe start with 20lbs per hand and go from there?).

    I like to join, i know that I can't do more then 10 push ups but it will be something to work at. I'll measure tonight and post tomorrow my measurement.
