Hey guys! I need some advice on what to eat tonight and tomorrow to ensure that I am fueled and ready for my All Star Game tomorrow. I will be participating in a speed competition prior to the game so I need something that will give me energy but not slow me down. Any suggestions?

what do you typically do? Now is not the time to change things.

I usually eat fish and pasta the night before. Chicken, rice, and veggies about 4 hours before playing and a protein bar an hour before the game.

    This.

Don't change your food the night before / day of a competition if you haven't tested it before. You don't know how your body will react.

Would you guys recommend caffeine before I play?

Not if you're not used to it. The last thing you want to do is end up jittery.

Yeah you're all right. It doesn't make sense to change things up so suddenly. Thanks!

Not if you've not tried it on a training day. Your body might react badly

Lots of stories about runners who just use the food/drink given to them on the day, that they never tried before, having unfortunate side effects.
