I've always been a walker. I've been walking consistently every night, only about 2 or 2.5 mph. My town is mostly flat, so no severe hills. However my muscles just scream louder with each walk. Anyone else have this problem?

This could be it. remember starting my jogs with just regular old shoes... legs would scream for weeks, but I thought it was normal. Then my awesome hubby bought my some real jogging shoes... so much better.0 -
Try stretching before and after your walk. Like everyone else says, it could be the shoes.0

Scratch that. Do not stretch before working out. Only stretch once your muscles have been warmed up. Stretching cold muscles increases the risk on injury. However, stretching after your walks would be beneficial and might help reduce soreness.0
