There are actually some good websites out there with meal plans, just do a search. Some are based on using the same ingredients at a couple of meals, some are based on cooking nearly everything on the weekends and putting it together each day. I personally like making a meal schedule the weekend before, purchasing the groceries on Monday on the way home from work and prepping foods the evening before. The Crockpot is my friend.0

One of my favorite time savers is to cook up batches of meat and portion it out to the proper weight. I put each portion in a small freezer bag, then all the bags go into one big freezer bag and label that one, then throw in the freezer. I do that with ground turkey and chicken mostly. You can do that with seasoning for different types of meals too. Sometimes I do nuggets with the chicken and already have them seasoned up and cooked, sometimes I cut the breasts thinly and bake them (that is great to have with a quick salad), sometimes I just keep it raw but have the correct portions bagged up so it's ready to cook anyway I want it and quick to log (already weighed remember!).
I also like to have onions and peppers chopped and frozen since I use those a lot for flavor. I buy bags of broccoli florets and cauliflower. Any that can be frozen and makes it fast to grab just a portion and throw it in a pan to cook.
You can bag it up according to how you want meals. Have the meat in its own little bag, veg in theirs, then put it in one big bag and just pull that bag out to heat up for your dinner.
It makes for some very quick meals and, at least for me, keeps me from dreading cooking things if I'm tired. Just grab a bag of what sounds good, thaw it out and add it to whatever veg you want that meal.0 -
I cook in batches a couple of times a week. A lot of times on Sundays I'll pre-cook chicken or turkey to add to other things through the week--it cuts cooking time way down if you're just throwing it in with some vegetables or whatnot. Then about halfway through the week whatever I have left I'll throw into a recipe with whatever else I need to use up. Soup or chili, stir fry, casserole, etc. Whatever I can make with what I've got (or with minimal shopping).0

I cook batches of meats, vegetables and whole grains at the weekend, keep them in the fridge in food boxes and work my way through them during the week. I vary the combinations and oils and herbs and spices I use.0
