Lifting and hypermobility

Options
Does anyone else have hypermobility and trying to put on muscle and reducing ligamentous laxity? I didn't think it was going to be this hard. I tried to be careful with my lower back and knees and ended up not paying as much attention to my shoulders and got bursitis. Anyone have any advice on how to reduce flexibility?

I would see a PT and have them work with you on form. You probably won't be able to use 100% of your range of motion, so you'll need to learn where to start/stop the action so you're not hyperextending your joints.

Thanks I guess I do need to see someone. I really try to be careful with my form, making sure it's perfect. but you are right i might be using too much range of motion. Its nice when doing stuff like yoga but not so much when using weights!

Get old. Seriously. I'm still hypermobile in some ways but it's manageable.
