getting out emotions

Why is this such a emotional battle for me? My body just doesn't want to lose a pound. This is a cycle for me. I lose a few pounds then they creap back on even though I feel like I'm doing things right. I keep thinking maybe I'm destined to be this big forever. I miss feeling like I'm pretty. Silly I know. I recently cut my long hair into a pixi and now I have nothing left to feel good about. Not going to let this day stop me but wish I could see this journey does have a good outcome today.

Everyone deals with emotions differently. But there's always stuff to feel good about. Maybe you can start looking for the good stuff. When I get down, I start and finish each day with counting five good things. (And yes, "I am breathing right now" totally counts.) It's hokey, but it always lifts my spirits within a few days.

Body image is a challenge for almost everyone. Combine that with the emotional ups and downs of pursuing a difficult, personal goal and it's easy to see why it can get to you at times. I'm not sure if you're looking for advice or if you just want to vent... but when I am struggling with my emotions, I find that going out with friends or playing team sports really helps. When I cant do that, sticking to my to-do list, working my routine, and being super productive certainly helps.

Hope you feel better. I know it isn't fun.

Two things: find something to keep your hands busy (and engage your mind a bit) and sing. If you can't sing well, sing loud!

This may sound silly, but I am a VERY emotional human too and have a lot of anxiety...recently someone told me to download an app for self guided meditation, just to focus on yourself and give yourself 10-20 minutes at a time to block everything else out and clear your mind. I have found that it really helps me relax. Maybe even if it is for just that time you stop worrying and then eventually less and less...just a suggestion

This six week program helped me take the emotion out of troubleshooting.
