so I'm new to the gym and I'm
Not sure about routine. My goals are to lose weight and gain some lean muscle. My long term goal would be to run in warrior dash or something like that next summer so I'm posting my routine and I'm looking for suggestions
Start with 15 min on treadmill
Strength training 30 minutes which consists of biceps, triceps, leg press, abs, shoulder press, hip abductor, and a few other machines that focus on the same areas.
I finish up with 10min on treadmill at a higher incline and sped then earlier.
Also when j do the strwnth training I do reps of 12, 10 and 8. 12 at a lowr weight increasing up in weight and doin 8 reps with the higher weight

Lots of different ways to do it. I'd follow a proven, free-weight based strength program, like NROL, Stronglifts, the one in my profile, or hire a good personal trainer.
If you want to run the Warrior Dash, in about 2 months, start adding race-specific exercises, like crawling, climbing, & jumping. A playground is useful for this. See the WD website for the obstacles you'll want to simulate.
Also follow the program Couch to 5k.
Eventually try to run outside and include some hill runs.
