Hey there,
Maybe you could elabotate on your post a little, it is a little vague. Partner in what way?
As in romantic partner or fitness/gym partner?
I find that having my goals centre stage and the urge to get to them motivate me the most.
Relying on others for complete motivation isn't soemthing that I think would work 'long term' but I definately agree that having a partner of any kind, whether that be gym or life partner backing you up along the way helps!
Have a great day!

Are you talking about having a supportive signifiant other at home?0

Any partner I have will never be my main motivation. I am my main motivation.0 -
Er no. People have to be their own motivation.
There's no guarantee in life that your partner is always going to be there for you. And if you're single, there's nothing attractive about someone who can't stand on their own two feet and take care of themselves without being constantly pushed or patted on the back.

This OP. You are doing it wrong but if it works your way for you it works.

No.
My partner isn't interested at all, but that has no effect on my motivation as I'm doing it for me, not him.0 -

I can agree that having your partner be supportive is nice and helpful. I disagree that they should be your main source of motivation.
Are you losing weight because your partner wants you to? I don't think that is the best source of motivation if that is the case.0 -
