Does working out give you insomnia?

Seriously it seems like every time I start working out (which I do in the morning) I am exhausted all day until I lay in the bed, and then I cannot sleep for anything! Does this happen to anyone else? Just curious.

Can you work out in the afternoon?0

Sometimes I do but I just mean that it's at least a few hours before bed, but even on rest days. I've also known two other friends that seemed to have problems sleeping when beginning exercise so I was just wondering if it was related.0

It can be, if you're doing really vigorous cardio. Or if you're waking up earlier than usual to fit it in. Try moderate cardio, or do it at different times of day to see how you feel.
(Also, I've mentioned it before, but I struggle with sleep, and I find that an evening swim is great for relaxing.)0 -
Are you eating back your workout calories? Are you eating enough?
If the answer to both of these is yes, then consider having the bulk of your carbohydrates in the evening.0 -
For me it's the opposite. Since I started working out, my insomnia has gotten better.0
