Need a boost

Hi, I am hoping to get inspiration and encouragement here.
Since my 20's when I had 2 children I have had weight problems, gradually adding the kilos and then levelling out for a while. That was 40 years ago and I have had spells where I was able to keep it fairly stable. I dont have a bad diet, but I always have to push myself to exercise, and with knee problems its hard to do much more than walk.
Since I had a bad fall in October, I became scared of walking and have basically hibernated since. These 3 months have seen me creep up to 72.5 kilos and at 5 feet 2 inches thats uncomfortable.
My sisters who dont live near me have recently started the paleo diet and are encouraging me to try. So, here I go again, and hope with their encouragement and folks on this site, I can get back into walking and motivate myself to keep going.
I am of an age where my health is more important to me than my image, and my bikini days are definitely over, but hey! we all like to look and feel good.
