supraspinatus tendinopathy? How long does it take to recover? Best exercises while recovering?

Has anyone else been diagnosed with supraspinatus tendinopathy (shoulder injury)? Just trying to get ideas on keeping motivated with exercise while it heals. I have the remedial exercises from the physio and do clinical Pilates once a week, but wanted to know how to change it up at the gym. I think I aggravated an old injury by overhead chest presses and incline chest presses (using the equipment).... Exercises given to me by the trainer at the gym. I really dislike cardio apart from walking on the treadmill 5-6kmh on the hill program) and I enjoy the weights part of my program (machine based at the moment) but half my program has been wiped out because of the injury? How long does it take to recover? The psychic has said it could take up to 3 months.
