Hi, I'm Amy and I'll be 51 tomorrow. I have about 140 lbs to lose. I keep my diary open and like others with open diaries too. It's just much more interesting and motivational. I like to exercise when my body allows it. Right now, I'm exercising every other day. I try to eat fairly well too. I have had diabetes since 2005.

I'm looking for other ladies who will be around for a while, have open diaries, and who try to eat right--not pizza every night. I like to get to know my friends and therefore, I don't have tons and tons of friends.

Please tell me a little about yourself.
Amy

    Hi Amy!

Your post captured my attention as I was glancing through the message boards. I'm 47 with a family history of arthritis, lupus, cancer and diabetes. With a few aches and pains beginning, I've decided to change my eating habits for a healthier me. Out of curiosity and a few food sensitivities, I recently completed 30 days on the Whole 30, eating whole foods, nothing processed, and gave up sugar, dairy and gluten for 30 days. It was not as hard as I imagined. I was amazed that my aches and pains left and for the first time ever, I lost weight effortlessly.

My goal now is to continue with a healthier way of eating. I have an open diary. Feel free to add me to your support system on MFP.

    Best wishes to you!

    Hi Amy,
Feel free to add me. I'm 53, fairly active and usually cook most of my meals. After maintaining a 90 pound loss for several years, I found myself 25-30 pounds heavier. I'm on a 25 day streak for logging. You'll find great days with loads of vegetables, beans etc and a few with some very poor choices.

I used to work out 5 days a week and am doing my best to get back in that routine. I find it helps me to make better choices.

    Good luck!

    Elizabeth

Hi Amy~ You can friend me if you want :) Soon to be 54, and I'm staying onboard for life! Every time I think I've got it down on my own, the next year or so I find myself starting over again from square one :s. Never again! It's too much work to lose the same 30 pounds over and over and over..... My diary is open to friends :D. So excited for my Monday weigh in because I think I'm going to hit my halfway mark on the weight (fingers crossed!). Tami
