Whiskey with sparkling water and tons of lime or vodka done up the same way... I try to limit the artificial sweeteners in my life but you could easily do the same with diet soda

    500 cals?

2 pints of a 7-8% ABV small batch IPA or 4 glasses of a premium vintage cab or pinot.

But, I seldom drink more than 1 pint of beer or 1 glass of wine at a time.

a couple of crafts beers are nice

Ditto -- that's a lot more calories than I usually have to spend on alcohol -- might as well go for the high calorie option I usually can't "afford".

I could get 14 drinks for under 500 calories.

Southern Comfort half measure shots and diet soda - only 35 calories each

any other spirit with water or diet soda would be about the same - but Southern Comfort is my poison of choice ;)

Quick disclaimer - i would not actually drink 14 drinks of Southern Comfort. :o
About 3 is my limit - 3 half measures, that is.

Was just commenting on how many I would hypothetically get for 500 calories in an abstract maths equation
