A friend reccomened it to me but I'm not so sure I want to go down that road. Now I just tell myself to quit being lazy and just exercise already.

I have to have them because I have a B12 deficiency and I don't absorb it from food. If you don't have a deficiency you can get all the B12 you need from things like meat, eggs, dairy and marmite. I'm not sure what you think a injection of B12 will do for you as its not a miracle cure or shortcut for anything, if it was everyone would be having it.0

I was looking for a little energy booster but stay clear of it. Thanks.0

B-12 vit help me w/my energy levels but I have medical issue that caused my energy to tank like a freakin' rock. Years ago took inj for nerve therapy (didn't help). Try B-12 vit & see how it goes. Good luck!
(edited to add: as you lose your weight, even the first 10-15 lbs, you may "find" energy you didn't know was there )0 -
A few people might need them. Mostly, they're just a feeder for unscrupulous "doctors" and such to sell you all kinds of other overpriced, unnecessary supplements.0

I thought doctors gave B12 shots only for patients with a deficiency -- I know people who had gastric bypasses who have them because they can't absorb it. I guess some patients with crohn's or who are going through chemo have them, but I don't think just anyone can get them from a doctor.0

I was B12 deficient and got shots as well. They never really helped. Then I started drinking RockStar Recovery drinks... LOADED with B vitamins (and probably other bad stuff) and caffeine. No energy issues, and my B panels all come back high
Not that I am recommending it.. but its where I ended up!0 -
Thank u guys.0

You are better with methylcobalamin (B12 pills). The shots are painful and they last only about a week or so (you may need a less frequent dose when your levels are back up). Those shots are not fun at all.0

I was getting the shots every 2 weeks, and am now starting to have them every 3 weeks.
My levels were quite deficient, though.
I have noticed some improvements in mood and energy. There is some debate as to whether taking it orally has as much benefit as injections, and I have read about sublingual tabs that supposedly absorb as well as an injection.
Depends on why you might be lacking energy. If it's unusual for you perhaps a blood test is in order.
A better diet with proper hydration and more exercise might be all you need, or you might have a busier or more stressful life than some of the folk you know.0 -
Finally! Someone else that finds them painful! No one believes me but they hurt me like heck and I get bruised too. They're still almost worth it.
In my area I think anyone can buy the fluid and inject it.0 -
I use the Jarrow methyl B12 sublingual tablets and find them to be excellent for energy with no pain or side effects0
