Tracking my iron in MFP and it says goal is 100. 100??

Postmenopausal woman here. Wondering why MFP is giving me a goal of 100 for iron intake.

    That is 100% of the RDA not g, mg, IU's or whatever iron is measured by.

    It gives everyone a goal of 100% of the "daily value" for iron -- unfortunately, so far as I can discover, the FDA nowhere discloses what benchmark it uses for daily value for iron, which, as you point, varies a great deal with gender, age/reproductive status.

    You should be able to reset the iron goal on your settings page, if you think you know what it should be for you, or you could just ignore it.

    It is my understanding the MFP uses this as their guideline and sets the amount you need based on your age and gender as you set up your profile. The only thing it doesn't do is allow for whether or not a woman is menopausal. It just goes by age.
