Hello everyone.

I downloaded the iPhone app last week and have tracked everything i'm eating since then along with my exercises and such.

I'm 6' 4" and currently at 258 lbs
I'd like to get down to 230.

It took about 3 years for me to slowly rise from my normal 230 up to my current. I'm noticing that my normal meals don't push me much over the calories the app tells me to get, sometimes i'm actually under.

I did notice that my Sodium intake is WAY!!! over though.
Could the Sodium be having an impact on my weight?

Thanks,
Mike

edit: just searched this board and Yup, lot's of people were complaining that high sodium can make you gain weight. Since my Calorie intake is pretty good, i'm just going to reduce the amount of snacks and start watching my Sodium intake.

Sodium causes you to retain water so it will effect your weight. Most people who start eating healthy lose a lot of weight initially because you release that water weight.
