Having an office job won't affect you're weight loss if you're in a calorie deficit.

You can burn twice as many calories walking fast as you can by walking at a leisurely pace. Any exercise is good, but exercise that makes you breathe heavy is better.

Set up a healthy nutrition plan at a moderate calorie deficit. I'd also work in some additional exercise. Resistance training is where the party's at. You won't get the good changes in body composition with walking. Plus, it's good for keeping your metabolism up as you diet down in weight.
