How do I log homemade chips?

I'm not sure how many calories because of the oil. How many extra calories should I add onto the potato?

    I would weigh the raw potato, then weigh the finished chips. The difference should be the oil absorbed. It won't be exact because some moisture boils away during frying, but it is the closest you can get. Also, compare your results to database listings for restaurant chips and see how close you are. If it is reasonable close, us the higher of the two.

    I'm eating this over my sisters so I won't have a scales in reach,unfortunately! I should've added that to my post!so not only will I be guessing how much potato but also how much oil. Do you have any idea how many calories it would roughly be for the oil?
