What do people think about this?

Personally I favour a socialist society with support and encouragement rather than punishment, and having been in the unfortunate position of claiming job seekers allowance can attest to how soul destroying it is. I didn't leave the house for up to a week at a time and I was only claiming for a few months. David Cameron has also removed support such as counselling and access to free services like sports facilities and nutritional education for those out of work. And GPs have very limited knowledge of supporting weight loss in general in the UK.

I have the feeling that this is just being used to distract everyone from the £20bn a year lost to tax fraud. Around £1.2bn is lost to benefit fraud. Pretty clear where the most effort should be made.

Looking at social media and forums elsewhere, I find the general attitude towards overweight people disgusting. Although much of that comes from Tory vitriol and propaganda. Wonder if it'll be different here?
