PSA: Please Do Not Blare The Sound on The TV At The Gym!

I don't understand why people have to have the sound SO loud on the TV's at the gym.
I workout in my condo building's gym. It has 3 TV's. Two near the treadmill/ellipticals and one near the bikes/rowers.
I come into the gym and find one of the TV's by the treadmills just blaring, no one even near the treadmills. Turn it off.
Our gym now has free wifi so I take out my phone, plug in my ear buds and put on netflix. I like to try to engross myself in my show and try to forget I'm working out haha.
In walks a guy, who goes to one of the treadmill TV's and turns it on and cranks up the volume. I mean loud. I turned my headphone volume up to max and it still could not drown out the noise from the TV.
There's another guy at the gym I see all the time that puts on the TV by the bikes and absolutely blares it as he does his circuit type training session where he does some weights, does 5 mins on the bike, does some weights, back to the bike etc. And the entire time he's there (which is usually at least an hour from what I can tell) he has that TV on and blaring.
When the gym did not have free wifi I would use the TV's to watch something too. But I had it on silent with the captions on so that there was no noise to bother anyone else. If you just can't stand to read captions or you just really want to listen to it, turn the volume to the absolute lowest that you can. Be polite to the other users of the gym.

That's not a factor where I go. The TVs are all set to closed captions and if you want sound, you have to plug your headphones into the headset jack on whichever exercise machine you're using.0

My gym has a row of TVs. It is not unusual to have to endure more than one tv with the volume up competing with the next. Usually I wear headphones and it won't bother me. The other day I was working out with a partner and we couldn't even hear each other talk, let alone concentrate on the lifts because two tvs were turned up and the noise was driving us both insane.0

Each piece of cardio equipment at my gym has its own small tv that works with headphones only.0
