I just had sleeve surgery a few days ago. I was in store yesterday and saw fitbits. I was about to buy one but unsure of what one is best. I think the ones that go ariund my wrist would be best. Can anyone tell me their opinion on this?0

I use the flex (goes round your wrist) & I really like it! Simple to use etc. Only thing is, if your arm isn't moving (pushing a trolley for example), then your steps aren't being counted. I'm a lot more aware of how little I was moving now & it's really helped me to make a conscious effort to get off my bum! All the best for after your surgery0 -

Thanks for all the adds! I'm pretty excited! I sit just about all day at work so having the Fitbit should help remind me to get up more often and walk around!0

Hey yall, I'm new to fitbit as well. I'd love some friends to add (and challenge ) https://fitbit.com/user/384PV60

Is anyone having issues with there fitbit not syncing right and adding calories you've burned to mfp? Had mine for a week but it doesn't update anything to my diary, when I do my diary for food it updates to my fitbit dashboard tho0

Mine is doing the same thing but I'm kind of glad. I'd rather only track my work out calories on MFP than daily steps. I'm not sure how to fix it.0

I've had my FitBit Charge for about 2 weeks and love it. If you are trying to sync your FitBit to MFP, you have to go into your diary settings here on MFP and check the box to allow for negative cals/calucualtions, or something like that it will say. Beware, if you are not moving enough, it will DEDUCT cals from your daily allowance to account from the difference in you not moving enough in comparison with what MFP has allowed you. Took me some getting used to in the beginning, but the more I sue my Charge, the more I "get it".
Please add me. I need all the motivation/competition I can get. https://fitbit.com/user/36WD2Y0 -
Feel free to add me, I've currently got a flex but shortly going to upgrade to a Charge HR.

You're my hero for the day! I had no idea how to do this, and as a desk jockey, I hadn't realized how sedentary I was.

Wow, hero you say? Nah, just new to MFP and even newer to FitBit. BUT, I did figure out how to sync the two. This is exactly what I need to help me make progress and it's awesome. About a week ago I wanted to hit that 10 floor goal, so I would go up and down the steps at home during commercial breaks on TV. Then it became a game of wanting to burn more calories, so I would do more steps. I did like 25 floors that day! I was all hyped up. LOL Hooray for small victories!
