I have been doing Insanity for 2 weeks straight so far, doing the 60-day challenge! I've lost 1 lb the first week and gained 2-3 lbs this second week. Is it normal to gain weight before losing?? I stay under my daily calories 9 times out of 10 too. Help!!

It is normal to see a bit of gain show up on the scale when starting a new exercise program, especially if you haven't really exercised in the past, as your muscles may retain water. However, you may want to look at exactly how much you're going over that 1 time you're going over and what your deficit is on other days.0

I gained 4 pounds in the end of week one but dropped ( the four pounds plus 2 more!) after the second week. Go figure lol . Keep it up!!:) it's so worth it!!0

If you abuse your muscles - which if you're doing Insanity properly is almost guaranteed - then they will retain a lot of water to help heal up faster.
Sore muscles = Extra water weight for a few days until your body adjusts.0 -
I think its normal. Be sure you are eating enough (Insanity guide recommends at least 5 times a day). Don't worry too much what the scale says. Go by measurements!0
