Here's a tricky question. How much fat would you have to lose for there to be a significant amount of access skin?

There's no answer to that question. It's a combination of age, genetics, how much was lost, how long the person was overweight, how well LBM was preserved during the weight loss, the whole nine yards.

Generally I'd say anyone losing over 50lbs is going to start risking some loose skin. Anything over 100lbs is almost guaranteed (though I've seen some people who still managed to escape it at that point, usually younger people who weren't overweight for a significant amount of time). There are plenty of exceptions even still.

I've lost 80 lbs (and I'm not young), and I don't have significant excess skin. What amount I do have, has more to do with my two pregnancies, and how much my skin a was stretched during those.

At any rate, as Dope said, it varies, and there are a lot of factors that are outside our control. But you can stack the cards in your favor by getting a good variety of nutrients, which will help with skin elasticity, and give yours it's best possible chance of 'snapping back'.
