Goals suddenly changed

I'm not sure if this is the correct forum to post this (I tried tech support but got an error message about not being authorized to post there??) but it's driving me a little batty that I can't figure out what happened.

I've been on MyFitnessPal for ... well, a long time. And I've been logging daily for about 4 months now (religiously for about 2 weeks ... back on the horse again and all that ...). This entire time, my calorie goal based on a 1 lb/week desired loss was 1370. Sodium, 2500. Sugar, 27. I also track carbs and fat but can't recall those numbers off the top of my head. I have been basing my daily intakes on these numbers.

About 15 minutes ago I went in to the settings to verify that my diet/fitness profile was good. I made no changes. But now suddenly MFP is showing a daily calorie goal of 1430 with a sodium goal of 2300 and sugar now up to 54.

Does anyone know what happened? These are some pretty significant changes and I'm not sure what caused them. The only thing I can think of is that these daily goals were "set" when I was a certain weight and now that I've put on about 10 pounds they needed to be updated but never were automatically; my going in to the settings triggered an update.

Any other ideas?

Every 10 pounds it reevaluates your goals so that is why your calories jumped my sodium has always been 2300 irregardless of calories. You may have had a custom settings and when it updated it went with a default setting thats the only thing i could think of for your sugar doubling.

Thanks. I figured it was an update to my allowable calories based on weight gain but it just seemed so odd that it changed out of nowhere when I've been at my current weight for 3 weeks.

And you must be right about the custom settings, though I have no clue when I would have done it or why I would have chosen those particular numbers!

Apparently there was a bug in the system and some people were getting recommendations to eat ~900 calories. They may have corrected the system by updating the algorithm (at least I hope they got that bug sorted out).

Fantastic to hear! Although I must say, if I was starting out with 60 allowable calories less than the deficit I was already at I'm a little annoyed I haven't lost anything!

I hope it's sorted out too. Would hate to log in one day and see I've been recalculated again.
