NSV - Little victories

I've been slowly and steadily losing weight over the past 6 months or so, but there are all sorts of little victories that aren't always evident on the scale. For example, I saw some friends I haven't seen in a few months and they were surprised at my weight loss. My loss had actually slowed during that period, but the results of hard work were really starting to shine through.

This morning I got dressed and noticed that my belt was feeling a bit loose. I tightened it one more notch and realized that I was at the end of the belt, and when I started this journey, the belt was barely big enough. I also thought I'd wear one of my Chicago Blackhawks jerseys to work, so I grabbed one I haven't worn ever, because it was too small when I bought it. Not only did it fit, but it looks good. I'm feeling really good today, which is what this was all about in the first place... Getting healthier for the sake of those I love, and building confidence and self-esteem for me. Just thought I'd share.
