Eat enough real food to result in a calorie surplus and lift weights.0

Step 1:
Eat healthy foods, in slightly larger portions than you'd need for maintenance. 250 cal/day should result in a gain of 0.5 lb / week.
Or here's a post I did about setting goals, including calories. Use the third calculator to learn how many servings of the various food groups you'd need to eat to maintain a certain weight (put in your goal weight).
Step 2:
Lift heavy things & put them down again. Repeat. This will help you add muscle instead of fat.
Make sure you're getting plenty of protein in order to build muscle. 35% of calories is the recommended healthy upper limit.
(calories x .35 to get your goal calories from protein; then that result / 4 to get grams)0 -

Eating more food than you need.
Most supplements are a waste of money if your nutrition isn't on point.....and even if it is, they can still be a waste of money.
