Inspiring!! Fab! Thanks!
Also diagnosed with diabetes, and was never informed of being pre-diabetic..and it affects my sight, and need my eyes!! Also fed up with moving like a chunk; want to be slim and healthy! fit! So my little few hundred metre shuffle runs seem possible now I see you run ultramarathons on a wkend!! ha ha!0 -
Hi Ros! My diabetes came on as fast as my weight gain. Part of it was being in denial of it and refusing to go to the doc. I was having serious issues with my vision as well. Once I got going with the strength training and running it didn't take long before I got off the meds. In the beginning my runs were a walk/shuffle/walk walk/shuffle. Keep at it! Good luck to you!0

So awesome. Way to go. One of my fitness highlights was appearing in Men's Health 'Belly Off Club". Super motivating but I have to tell you...no one asked for my autograph??? Kind of disappointing!

Wonderful story. Being an ultra-marathoner, cool, being around for years to come to chase your young children around...priceless.0

That's awesome! I've been doing a lot of walking recently with the idea of starting to run in about a month when it warms up. Never been a huge runner, but one of my goals is to run a 5k this summer. This just gives me more motivation.0
