Having trouble with food...help!

I have been eating really good for 7 weeks..no breads..pasta..sugar or processed foods.. Nothing but lean turkey chicken and fish and fresh fruits and veggies...ive lost 15 lbs which im happy about as i work out at least 4-5 times a week. Nothing but water water water. I ate some crab legs (with butter which i hadnt had All this time) for Vday and got a sick stomach... Now i find i just cN not eat that junk i used to which is fine but for the past few days i just cant seem to WANT eat much... I do not crave junk but i also am in a funk for food altogether....but to keep working out i know i need to eat! I feel im in a bad funk... Im by no means trying to starve or not eat... I am just finding food so unappetizing whats wrong with me????

I think you are bored. Change something.

I went through a phase where I was having fresh salads from my community garden every day. That went on for two months and then suddenly I just couldn't look at another salad. I had a deep think about it and I diagnosed boredom. To re-set my interest in food, I set a seven day challenge to eat a different vegetable I had never eaten before and blog about it. That did the trick. I am interested in all foods again.

(By the way, I was eating a variety of foods throughout, just salads at lunch every day).

The crab legs were likely a little heavy after all that good eating. I suggest having a small amount of processed food, pasta, or bread incorporated in your daily diet, within your calorie limits of course.

Try to remember that you have done the hardest part already! Youve gotten rid of alot of foods that make you crave more! Your body will function on far less than society has convinced us that we need (ie: the gargantuan portions at restaurants) but it does take some experimentation to put those recipes together that bridge that gap between eating healthy and having a satisfying meal. I know exactly what you mean about the sick to your stomach feeling. I really think that is how we felt all the time when we were earing the trash...you just dont notice how bad it was until you feel better!
  • Thank you ladies im starting to get worried... I am just not liking food... Was fine before the dang crab legs and butter. I would love some meal ideas! Thank u!!
