Water -- Recommendations to get it in???

I posted this to one of my MFP friends -- so I thought I would get suggestions from anyone who has any......
I need an IV for the water....I just looked at the clock 4:13 and then looked at my full water bottle. How pathetic am I -- not an ounce all day. I wish I could be better at the water thing. I know how much it would help my weight loss, disposition and skin etc etc etc.....got any recommendations????
This used to be a big problem for me as well. I just didn't drink very much, period. That is until I forced myself to start drinking more water. Three things helped me out big time, by giving my water some flavor.
I started using Crystal Light flavoring packets. The lemonade one is fantastic. I know it has chemicals in it, but it gets me to drink more H2O, so in my opinion it's worth the trade off. I'll usually have one of these packets a day.
I also started buying flavored sparkling and regular water. I buy Propel and drink a bottle every day. I also buy the Best Choice Sparkling Water in different flavors. You can count it toward your water totals and it kind of gives you that same kick soda does without the sugar.
I hope this helps! I used to struggle to drink 32 ounces of any liquid a day. But now I'm up to my 64 nearly every day! It takes some work, but when you start making yourself do it, it is possible. Good luck!0 -

I use a straw. Cold water supposedly increases your metabolism, too?0

This is a great idea!0

I normally just reuse a 1l water bottle. (4 cups in 1 liter) And i tell myself that i only need to drink two of these a day. That helps me get my eight cups. Im also a big green tea drinker, and drinking tea can count as your water intake.0

Not exactly. Your body needs to bring things up to the correct temperature to process/digest/absorb. Cold water takes a little longer and your body uses a little more energy to do it...but not much.0 -
you can add a bit of juice such as pomegranite or you can place spring water, slices of lemon, orange, and mint, whatever you like let marintae in the fridge till icy cold. These are better options than frankenfake sweeteners. Cucumber sliced in cold water is refreshing too. Goo dluck Aqua fresca!0

This may sound weird but I have to drink it out of a "favorite glass"...I am more apt to drink water if it is out of a glass or a bottle like one bought at a convenience store then one with a stopper that is on my bike...I sit at a computer most of the day and I keep it within a few inches of my computer...every time I look at the glass, I sip...before you know it, 64 ounces is nothing! I also add a few drops of lemon juice from time to time just to give it a kick....Good luck with it!:drinker:0

I struggle to drink enough water, but what works for me is buying the bottle waters. I get like 32 bottles for $4. Maybe its because they remind me of a 20 oz soda or something, but its easier to drink than a glass of water. lol Goodluck!0

I have a big glass when I wake up, fill it up and sip it till lunch, drink another at lunch, fill it up, sip till tea, drink a big glass with tea then fill up another glass. It's really not that hard0
